Introduction to Gendon
In 1993 two entrepreneurs joined forces and created Gendon Polymer Services Incorporated.Humble beginnings lead to early success with Gendon being firmly established in the local marketplace within two years. Growth continued past the turn of the century and at this time, Gendon made a strategic decision to concentrate on Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH / LSOH / LS0H), Low Smoke Non-Halogenated (LSNH), or Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) compounds for the wire and cable industry.
In January 2012, the Marmon Group (A Berkshire Hathaway company) acquired Gendon. The acquisition made sense in many ways, giving needed capital and resources to Gendon as well as further enhancing their credibility.
Today, Gendon is an independently run speciality compounding house with world leading polymer knowledge in the design and processing in Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH / LSOH / LS0H) or Low Smoke Non-Halogenated (LSNH) compounds. We work closely with the largest wire and cable houses in the world to help develop speciality products for the marketplace. Because of the sensitive Intellectual property that is shared between Gendon and our customers, we commonly establish development and commercial NDA’s that protect our customers interests.
